Do you accept second-hand items?

We only accept ‘like new’ clothing for sizes between newborn to size 9. Clothing donations of sizes 10 to 16 must be brand new.

All donations of underwear, socks, toiletries and stationery must also be brand new.

Do I have to donate a full backpack of items?

No, you can donate as little or as much as you can. We pack the backpacks with the required items in our warehouse prior to distributing to children in need.

Where is the warehouse located?

Our warehouse is located at Unit 5, 1421 Main North Road, Para Hills West 5096. Someone is usually there between 9am and 2pm daily however, it's always best to check before you come and visit us as we may be out making deliveries.

Do you have a base in the southern suburbs?

Our organisation is proud to have a very low administration cost. As such we have limited our main warehouse to Para Hills. We do however, have drop-off locations all over Adelaide that you can drop your items to.

We'd love to meet you!

We ask that our volunteers register via our volunteer management system, Volaby. Through Volaby you will be able to book into sessions and manage your volunteer time with us.

To join, you will need to create an account by clicking this link https://backpacks4sakids.volaby.org/sign-in and following the process to join.

Once you have a profile within Volaby, you can see all of the available sessions on the activity page, enrol in an activity and then register on the roster for the date that you prefer.

Do you accept donations of furniture, bigger toys or baby related items?

Unfortunately our warehouse cannot accommodate donations of furniture or prams, cots etc.
